Description
To obtain the certificate necessary for voluntary interruption of pregnancy (IVG), a full gynecological examination is necessary. During the visit, in addition to the issuance of the certificate, you will receive information and complete guidance on the IVG, to better support you at every stage. What it is for
  • Confirmation of pregnancy: The examination is used to ascertain and determine how many weeks the state of pregnancy has existed, which is a fundamental fact for evaluating the feasibility and the type of possible IVG surgery (pharmacological or surgical). To do this, you will have a clinical exam and an ultrasound.

  • Evaluation of your state of health: The gynecologist will evaluate your general state of health to rule out any pathologies that could complicate surgery.
  • Information and guidance: The visit is also a precious moment to receive all the necessary information on the IVG, on the different methods of intervention (pharmacological or surgical), you can ask questions to resolve your doubts and fears.
  • Issuance of the IVG certificate: At the end of the visit, if everything is fine, the gynecologist issues the IVG certificate, which certifies the state of pregnancy and your desire to interrupt it, with this document you can access the surgery at a hospital.

What to expect
During the IVG certification visit, the gynaecologist will confirm your pregnancy through a clinical examination and an ultrasound, and will assess your general state of health.
